Brow Lift (Forehead Lift) in Manhattan, NYC & Long Island

We use muscles in our forehead to make facial expressions. Over time, the skin develops permanent wrinkles and indentations. These horizontal and vertical lines above and between the eyebrows give us a tired and depressed appearance. Board-certified plastic surgeon, Craig Baldenhofer, MD, recommends that men and women in Manhattan, New York City and Long Island that have these signs of aging consider brow lift surgery.

What is a Brow Lift?

The earliest signs of aging appear on the forehead and brow. A brow lift is a cosmetic surgery that addresses horizontal lines across the forehead and vertical lines between the eyebrows. The wrinkles are caused by facial expressions. The muscle movements pinch the skin, and as we get older, our skin loses the ability to bounce back into place.

What are the Benefits of a Forehead Lift?

Surgery to smooth out the forehead and brow takes years off your appearance. Once the excess skin is removed, you have a refreshed appearance and no longer look tired or angry.

Who is a Good Candidate for a Brow Lift?

Forehead lift surgery is recommended for patients who cannot treat the horizontal and vertical lines in the brow area with Botox®  or other injectables. Men and women between 40 and 50 years old benefit the most from the procedure. Dr. Baldenhofer may recommend eyelid surgery  in conjunction with your brow lift.

What Should I Expect from a Forehead Lift?

Dr. Baldenhofer performs forehead lift surgery in our certified in-house surgical suite. Your brow lift may be performed endoscopically or using a traditional technique. Endoscopic forehead lifts produce less tissue trauma, yet you may require a greater degree of correction. For this procedure, Dr. Baldenhofer makes several incisions along your hairline. He inserts the endoscope through each incision and works to lift the tissues.

A traditional forehead lift requires an incision at the top of the forehead along the hairline. Dr. Baldenhofer pulls the skin tight to smooth out the wrinkles. The excess skin is trimmed.

The brow area is covered with bandages, and you are allowed to go home shortly after the surgery. You will need to rest for up to two weeks. Healing takes several months.

How Much Does a Brow Lift Cost in Manhattan?

The cost of your brow lift is provided after Dr. Baldenhofer develops a personalized treatment plan. We also explain our payment options, including cash, check, credit card and CareCredit® financing.
