Dysport in Manhattan, NYC & Long Island
The forehead and eye areas are common areas that require anti-aging treatments. Dysport® treats wrinkles that are caused by muscle contractions. Board-certified plastic surgeon, Craig Baldenhofer, MD, has chosen Dysport® to meet the unique anti-aging needs of men and women in Manhattan, New York City and Long Island.
What is Dysport®?
Dysport® contains botulinum toxin Type A, a chemical that works to temporarily paralyze certain facial muscles. The product softens lines and wrinkles that appear on the forehead, as well as crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes and vertical lines between the eyes. The temporary inactivation of the muscles allows the skin to relax and smooth out the wrinkles.
What are the Benefits of Dysport®?
Dysport® is a non-surgical anti-aging treatment, so you have no downtime, incisions or scars. The results last for several months. Dysport® may work better than Botox® on some patients. We help you decide which product is best for you during the consultation appointment.
Who is a Good Candidate for Dysport®?
We may recommend Dysport® as an alternative to Botox® treatments. The differences between these two products are very subtle, but some patients achieve better results with Dysport®. You may not be a good candidate for Dysport® if your forehead wrinkles require surgery.
What Should I Expect from Dysport®?
The botulinum toxin type A must be administered in several locations along the muscles that cause your wrinkles. Dr. Baldenhofer achieves this by making injections with a small needle. Most patients remain comfortable during the treatment. Should you experience discomfort that interferes with the procedure, he may numb the skin with a special cream. After the treatment, you may have some localized tenderness, bruising, pinpoint bleeding and swelling. These symptoms may last two to three days. You should see results within a few days. The wrinkles should be corrected for several months.
How Much Does Dysport® Cost in Manhattan?
The cost of Dysport® treatments is based on several factors. First, we consider the nature and location of your wrinkles. This is used to determine proper dosing of the product. Once we know this information, we can provide an accurate cost. Dysport® is a cosmetic treatment, so it is not covered by insurance. You will be responsible for the entire cost. Our payment options include cash, check and credit card. Patients who are interested in financing the cost are encouraged to apply through CareCredit®.
