Radiesse in Manhattan, NYC & Long Island

Restoring collagen is an excellent way to give yourself a younger appearance. Unfortunately, collagen injections offer limited results. Radiesse® is an FDA-approved dermal filler that uses a unique formulation to help your body produce more collagen. Board-certified plastic surgeon, Craig Baldenhofer, MD, offers Radiesse® treatments for men and women in Manhattan, New York City and Long Island.

What is Radiesse®?

Collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin work together to give skin its flawless, young appearance. After our 20s, these valuable substances gradually diminish, allowing the skin to collapse inward to form wrinkles. Collagen injections were one of the earliest treatments that were used to restore collagen levels. The results were less than optimum. Men and women found that the injections caused an uneven surface on the skin, and the collagen was absorbed quickly by the body. Radiesse® offers an innovative way to restore collagen levels. The gel formula contains microspheres that remain in the skin for up to three months. The spheres provide lift to the skin for up to three months while simultaneously triggering the body’s collagen production. After the microspheres are absorbed, the collagen remains in place to keep your skin youthful.

What are the Benefits of Radiesse®?

Radiesse® offers our patients anti-aging benefits for up to 24 months. No downtime is needed.

Who is a Good Candidate for Radiesse®?

We recommend Radiesse® for several cosmetic concerns, such as:

  • Dimples on the chin
  • Poor facial volume in the cheeks, nose and chin
  • Marionette lines
  • Smile lines

The best candidates for Radiesse® treatments are men and women between 35 and 60 years old.

What Should I Expect from Radiesse®?

Dr. Baldenhofer is proud to offer his patients Radiesse® and dermal filler treatments with micro-cannulas. This is an alternative to needle administration that is linked to localized swelling, bleeding, tenderness and bruising. Micro-cannulas are thin, flexible tubes that are inserted through the skin and manipulated inside the tissues to place the Radiesse® gel. Most patients require fewer skin insertions with micro-cannulas than they would with needle injections.

You will see some improvement immediately after the treatment. Over the following three months, you may see some additional subtle improvements as the collagen develops along the wrinkles.
