Sculptra in Manhattan, NYC & Long Island

Wrinkles and lost facial volume are frustrating for men and women in Manhattan, New York City and Long Island. Sculptra® is recommended by board-certified plastic surgeon, Craig Baldenhofer, MD, to restore fullness and soften lines and wrinkles.

What is Sculptra®?

Since 2004, Sculptra® has been used in the United States to help men and women look younger without surgery. The product contains poly-L-lactic acid that has been used in the medical field for more than two decades. It is a synthetic form of a substance that is released by your muscles after you exercise. The acid stimulates your collagen production, which gradually improves wrinkles.

What are the Benefits of Sculptra®?

The primary benefit of Sculptra® is that it slowly softens wrinkles over time. This approach is preferred by men and women who want to avoid having people notice a sudden change in their appearance. As an injectable treatment, Sculptra® requires no downtime. The results may last up to two years.

Who is a Good Candidate for Sculptra®?

Because Sculptra® contains only synthetic ingredients, you will not need allergy testing prior to treatment. The injections work best for men and women who have poor facial volume, including in the eye and lip areas, temples and cheeks. In clinical studies, Sculptra® produced a 40 percent improvement in facial fullness. If you have any active skin infections, we may recommend that you postpone your Sculptra® treatments.

What Should I Expect from Sculptra®?

Fine gauge needles are the most common technique for administering Sculptra®, but patients tend to experience unwanted symptoms after the injections. Dr. Baldenhofer performs Sculptra® treatments with micro-cannulas. These flexible, thin tubes allow him to make fewer injections and more precisely place the Sculptra® gel where it is most beneficial. Compared to needle injections, micro-cannulas produce fewer and less severe symptoms after the procedure. The poly-L-lactic acid is eventually absorbed by your body and replaced with new collagen fibers.

How Much Does Sculptra® Cost in Manhattan?

We understand that you want to plan for the cost of your Sculptra® treatments, but we cannot provide accurate pricing until after your consultation appointment. In general, cost of Sculptra® treatments are based upon the amount of product that is needed and the number of micro-cannula injections. For your convenience, we accept payment by cash, check and credit card. Financing  is available through CareCredit®.
