Xeomin in Manhattan, NYC & Long Island
Vertical lines between your eyes make you look tired and angry. Fortunately, this common problem does not mean that you need plastic surgery. Xeomin® is an FDA-approved injectable treatment that softens vertical lines between the eyes. Men and women in Manhattan, New York City and Long Island rely on the expertise of board-certified plastic surgeon, Craig Baldenhofer, MD, for their Xeomin® treatments.
What is Xeomin®?
Vertical lines between the eyes are caused by certain facial expressions. Over time, the skin creases under the constant pressure. Temporarily paralyzing the muscles allows the skin to relax so that the wrinkles gradually disappear. Xeomin® contains botulinum toxin A to affect the muscles that are causing your wrinkles. The toxin interferes with nerve functioning on a temporary basis.
What are the Benefits of Xeomin®?
Xeomin® is comparable to Botox®, but some patients are better candidates for Xeomin®. The primary difference is that Xeomin® does not contain additives that may cause your body to develop antibodies against the active ingredient. This means that you may be able to use Xeomin® for a longer period of time than you would Botox®.
Who is a Good Candidate for Xeomin®?
We recommend Xeomin® for the treatment of moderate to severe vertical lines between the eyes, as well as crow’s feet and horizontal forehead lines. You may also want to consider Xeomin® if you are not a good candidate for Botox® or Dysport®.
What Should I Expect from Xeomin®?
Xeomin® has traditionally been administered with small gauge needles. This approach requires several injections, which may be uncomfortable for patients. Additionally, the number of injections increases the chances of developing post-procedure symptoms and complications. Dr. Baldenhofer offers Xeomin® treatments with micro-cannulas, which are thin, flexible tubes. This means that our patients experience fewer insertions into the skin. Tissue trauma is also reduced, so you may not develop the tenderness, bruising and swelling that you do when needles are used for your dermal fillers.
The results from your Xeomin® treatments may take up to one week. The majority of our patients need follow-up treatments after four to six months.
How Much Does Xeomin® Cost in Manhattan?
Medical insurance does not cover the cost of Xeomin® treatments, so we take every possible step to help our patients afford the treatment. We provide cost information after your free consultation, and after Dr. Baldenhofer develops your customized treatment plan. Our payment options include cash, check and credit card. For patients who are interested in financing the cost of their Xeomin® treatments, we accept payment by CareCredit®.
